What if my items are due? Will I receive any fines?
Yes, you will receive a fine for returning items past the due date. Our book drop, in the front of the building, is always open.
I have previous fines on my card, can I pay them?
Yes! You can pay your fines online. Go to our website www.tomahawk.lib.wi.us/and click the “My Account” icon. Type in your barcode, which you will find on the back of your library card, and then type in your PIN number, which should be the last 4 digits of the phone number on your account. If the fine is over $5, you will see “Pay Online – Credit Card (not Debit-Only Card)”. Enter requested information and submit then be sure to log out of your account when finished.
How can I put items on hold?
To log into your account and place holds, go to our website www.tomahawk.lib.wi.us/and click the “My Account” icon. Type in your barcode, which you will find on the back of your library card, and then type in your PIN number, which should be the last 4 digits of the phone number on your account. Once logged in, you can search for items and place them on hold.
Can I get books from other libraries?
Yes, at this time, interlibrary loan and our courier system are in service. Items from other libraries will come through, pending a quarantine period or closure of a library in our system.
My library card is about to expire. How can I renew?
All accounts nearing their expiration date can be temporarily extended to allow continuous service during the form renewal process. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 715-453- 2455 and we will help you with the steps.
I don’t have a library card, how can I access the digital materials?
No worries! You can sign up for a “digital card” without leaving home! A digital card grants access to all digital services provided by the WVLS libraries. Learn more: www.tomahawk.lib.wi.us/online-library-card.
Will someone still be available to answer reference questions or questions about my account?
Yes! You can now get personal help from your library over the phone and Facebook.

Yes! Our Wi-Fi extends into our parking lot. Please remember to keep physical distancing when you come.
