The library is working hard to ensure the safety of the materials we share with you. We are following CDC recommendations for sanitization and quarantine timeline of a week. Due to those recommendations, please exercise your own judgement on whether to quarantine these items further when you return home.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Have the items been quarantined?

Yes. Any items we receive go through a seven-day quarantine in our community room. Although, we cannot guarantee that they are completely virus-free.  You are welcome to quarantine and/or wipe materials down after you receive them, however please be mindful that some wipes hold a lot of liquid and we do bill for water stained materials.

What if my items are due? Will I receive any fines?
The due dates for all checked-out materials will be extended until July 6.  If you do want to drop off items, our outdoor book drop is open.

I have previous fines on my card, can I pay them?
Yes! You can pay your fines online. Go to our website click the “My Account” icon. Type in your barcode, which you will find on the back of your library card, and then type in your PIN number, which should be the last 4 digits of the phone number on your account. If the fine is over $5, you will see “Pay Online – Credit Card (not Debit-Only Card)”. Enter requested information and submit then be sure to log out of your account when finished.

How can I pick up my items for curbside?

We will be doing curbside service (see times listed above) by appointment. You must first call ahead of time and we will assign you a pickup time when you can drive up and grab your materials. We will place the items in a bag outside your car which you will then pick up.

What if there is inclement weather or it is raining during my time slot for curbside?
If it is raining where materials could be damaged, we will call you to reschedule. If there is a tornado warning, staff will not be available for the duration of the warning for pick up. Staff will call you after the warning has been lifted to reschedule.

How can I put items on hold?
To log into your account and place holds, go to our website click the “My Account” icon. Type in your barcode, which you will find on the back of your library card, and then type in your PIN number, which should be the last 4 digits of the phone number on your account. Once logged in, you can search for items and place them on hold.

Can I get books from other libraries?
At this time, interlibrary loan and our courier system is not currently in service. As soon as the service has been reactivated, items from other libraries will come through, pending a quarantine period.

Can I drop off my materials in outdoor book drops?
Yes. Our outdoor book drop is open daily.  Also, during our curbside pickup appointments, we will have a bin outside on the curb for you to drop off your items.
For safety of patrons and staff, we ask that you place the items you are returning in a plastic bag. Your items will then be quarantined and checked in at a later date. No fines will be added on during this quarantine period.

My library card is about to expire. How can I renew?
All accounts nearing their expiration dates in March and April have been renewed until Sept 1.
