We are seeking a skilled Short-term Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and working on various projects at the Tomahawk Public Library on a short-term basis.

Responsibilities:

• Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds.

• Requires considerable walking, climbing, bending, and stooping, working from/in ladders, high places, and cramped spaces.

• Capable of making and repairing wooden objects and structures.

• Basic painting duties to include drywall and plaster repair, painting, filling holes and cracks. (Graffiti removal)

• Other basic repair and replacement jobs as needed

• Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.

• Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities with the Director of the Library.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs with the Director of the Library.
